On Monday, Governor Gavin Newsom held a news conference to share the state’s ongoing efforts to reduce crime. However, as the governor praised arrests in retail and property theft, California Senator Brian Dahle from Redding says Newsom did everything in his power to stop Proposition 36.

Dahle says Californian’s are tired of being victimized by Newsom’s bad policies. He says he should focus on things like the fentanyl crisis and the people coming across the border. Dahle adds Californian’s need to vote Newsom out, the people that back him, and the legislature that’s controlled by him. Prop 36 will reinstate felony penalties for certain drug and theft-related crimes.
