Former President Trump says Vice President Harris destroyed California when she was the state’s attorney general. Interviewed on KFI Radio, the Republican presidential nominee was asked about California’s Proposition 47, which ten years ago reclassified some felonies to misdemeanors, including retail theft.
Prop 47 reduced thefts of property valued under 950-dollars from a felony to a misdemeanor. Following a surge in retail crime, there’s a measure on the California ballot that would reverse much of Prop 47. Recent polling shows a majority support what’s known as Prop 36.
