Social media company X, formerly known as Twitter, is closing its San Francisco office.
According to a memo, the move will occur “over the next few weeks.”
The plan is to move the operation into an existing office in San Jose. The move will also allow X to move forward with plans for an engineering-focused office in Palo Alto that the company will share with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, XAI.
This move is another blow to San Francisco’s Mid-Market area, which has seen several tech companies leave the area because of a rise in open-air drug use and sales.
