A new law going into effect this summer will make bars and nightclubs across California have testing kits for date rape drugs.
The measure, which was authored by Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal, was passed last year. Businesses with a Type 48 license will need to offer the kits.
The law goes into effect on July first.
