The Santa Rosa-Petaluma region, Wine Country, is the drunkest area of California. That’s according to a new study by the financial news website 24-Seven Wall Street.
More than 23-percent of adults surveyed in the region reported they drink excessively, also known as binge drinking. The California average is about 18-and-a-half-percent.
Nationwide, the drunkest metro areas in America are in the Plains states, Midwest, and Far West, the study found.
