San Francisco may start using license plate reader cameras to combat organized retail thefts and car break-ins that have marred the city’s image.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed is introducing legislation Wednesday that will allow the Board of Supervisors to allow San Francisco Police Department to install four hundred plate readers and one hundred intersections.
If the legislation is approved the cameras will be up quickly.
