The city of Oakland is marking a not-so-wonderful moment with its 100th homicide of the year. Police say one person was killed and two others were hurt in a shooting at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park over the weekend.
The Peralta Hacienda incident was one of three shootings within a span of two hours, police said.
Officials say that shooting death was Oakland’s 100th homicide in 2023. Local leaders continue to say they are working hard to quell deadly violence in the city as reports of shootings continue to increase.
