Caltrans is offering up to $10,000 to drivers whose vehicles have been damaged by potholes on California’s freeways.
Wind and rain is expected to return to the Bay Area with the strongest and heaviest occurring Tuesday morning and is sure to cause more of the dangerous road hazards.
Damage claims can be filed directly with the agency by anyone who believes Caltrans caused “monetary loss,” according to dot.ca.gov.
The Caltrans website includes instructions on how to file a claim, noting that the county in which it occurred must be provided.
