Looters Trigger Massive Crime Increase in Altadena

Crime is way up in the Altadena area following the devastating Eaton Fire.  The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says arrests in the community are up a whopping 250-percent since the deadly fire began.  Authorities pin most of the crime increase on looters who have descended on the community and robbed homes that were evacuated due to the fire.  Deputies say thieves have also been caught trying to steal copper wires from turned-off power lines.
