Southern California Representative Robert Garcia is in El Salvador to advocate for Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Salvadoran national Abrego Garcia was deported from Maryland on what the White House said was an “administrative error” but have since said he’s a member of the MS-13 gang.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ordered the Trump Administration to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return to the U.S., but the White House has not complied. Representative Garcia and other Democrats are in El Salvador to work toward Abrego Garcia’s return.
Abrego Garica’s deportation has caused uproar among Democrats, many of whom have referred to him as a wrongfully deported “Maryland man.”
