The suspect in the United Healthcare CEO killing is facing multiple charges across both New York and Pennsylvania, including murder. Luigi Mangione was apprehended in Altoona, Pennsylvania Monday at a McDonald’s for the shooting death of Brian Thompson on December 4th on a New York City sidewalk.
Mangione was charged in New York with one count of murder, as well as other charges that included possession of a forged document and weapon. He faces five charges in Pennsylvania, including forgery and carrying a firearm without a license. Mangione appeared in person for a preliminary arraignment in Pennsylvania Monday night and was ordered to be held without bail. He did not enter a plea.
