Two sexually violent predators could be released onto the streets of San Diego County. Supervisor Jim Desmond says Alvin Quarles and Merle Wakefield are eligible for transient release by the state of California. The homeless release means the sexually violent predators could move between hotels and other facilities in San Diego. “San Diegans should not live in fear of a sexually violent predator to be placed in their neighborhoods,” Desmond said.
