Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is conceding defeat in her recall election, nearly two weeks after Election Day. The county’s first Black woman to be lead prosecutor is now the first district attorney in the county to be removed from office. Nearly twice as many voters supported her ouster due to dissatisfaction with her performance. With a 153-thousand-vote deficit, she couldn’t remain in office despite a few ballots left to count.
