Massage parlors in Sacramento County will be paying higher fees to stay in business. The county Board of Supervisors voted to raise the license fee that massage business owners must pay annually. Existing massage businesses will pay a fee of 418-dollars, a 118-percent increase. New massage businesses will pay a fee of 778-dollars, a 268-percent jump from the current 212-dollar fee. It marks the first time the fees are going up in five years. The county says it needs the extra cash to keep providing oversight of the businesses.
