A former spokesperson for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office is taking legal action against current District Attorney Pamela Price.  Ex-public information officer and former KTVU reporter Patricia Lee filed a lawsuit claiming the DA’s office was “hiding, deleting, and/or altering records” requested by journalists through the California Public Records Act.

Lee raised concerns and was fired days later.  She says as a journalist, she believes in transparency and the public’s right to know.  The suit alleges retaliation, discrimination and wrongful termination.  This comes as Price faces a recall election in November.

The DA’s office says it “cannot comment on litigation on personnel matters.”
