Autonomous vehicles are becoming more commonplace in California, particularly in the Bay Area. What is also becoming more common is driverless vehicles getting into accidents.
According to the Department of Motor Vehicles, there have been hundreds of crashes involving robotaxis and other autonomous vehicles.
San Francisco leads the way with 86-percent of all incidents.
The city recently granted round-the-clock operation for Cruise and Waymo robotaxis. Both companies have hundreds of vehicles in their fleets.
