More robotaxis are coming to San Francisco. Both Cruise and Waymo received the nod from state regulators to provide service around the clock, seven days a week.
After a contentious public hearing with hours of public comment, San Francisco will become the first U.S. city that offers two different fleets of robotaxis.
The approval comes despite worries from many that there have been too many issues of the driver-less vehicles blocking traffic and causing problems for emergency vehicles with unexpected stops.
