A tech consultant will stand trial for the murder of Cash App founder Bob Lee. A San Francisco judge ruled Tuesday that there was enough evidence to put Nima Momeni on trial.
Momeni is accused of stabbing Lee multiple times back in early April after a confrontation believed to be about Momeni’s sister.
The judge heard from police officers, a medical examiner, and a DNA analyst who testified in support of the prosecutors’ argument that Momeni should go to trial for Lee’s murder. Prosecutors showed video footage of Lee and Momeni leaving the apartment of Momeni’s sister, Khazar Momeni, and the two men driving off together in the moments before Lee was killed.
The suspect is expected to officially enter a not guilty plea to the murder charge later this month.
