Senator Dianne Feinstein appeared confused during a committee vote Thursday, prompting a fellow senator to step in.

The California Democrat was called on to voice her vote during a Senate Appropriations Committee meeting. Rather than saying “aye” or “nay,” she began discussing her support for the bill until an aide whispered in her ear, “Just say aye.”

The 90-year-old Feinstein is the oldest member serving in the U.S Senate and has been in frail health after being hospitalized with shingles earlier this year.

Her moment came a day after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell froze during a news conference after he trailed off while speaking to reporters.
