Bay Area patients are being warned their personal information could be for sale on the internet. A data breach at HCA Healthcare has possibly put tens of millions of people in jeopardy.
HCA Healthcare, which is one of the largest companies in the U.S announced the breach this past week.
Of the five hospitals in the state two are in San Jose – Good Samaritan and Regional Medical Center. Officials say hackers may have accessed up to 27 million records that include names, home cities, and details on last doctor visits.
